How do I become an IMA investor?

IMA offers investment opportunities to individuals who meet the "professional", "sophisticated", or "wholesale" provisions of the Corporations Act. To become an IMA investor you need to meet these criteria and then contact IMA.

What are the minimum requirements for me to become an investor?

Eligibility to invest is prescribed by the Corporations Act. For more information, Please refer to our section on Investor Eligibility, which can be found in the Information for Investors tab.

What is the minimum amount that I can invest?

The minimum amount to invest is generally $500,000 or a lesser amount as determined by IMA but subject to the requirements of the Corporations Act. For more information, Please refer to our section on Investor Eligibility, which can be found in the Information for Investors tab.

How do I make an investment with IMA?

IMA issues an Information Memorandum in relation to all investment opportunities. The Information Memorandum contains an Application Form to be completed by eligible investors.

Do I need to obtain my own legal/taxation/financial advice?

IMA does not provide individuals with advice as to whether they should enter into IMA investment opportunities. IMA strongly recommends that individuals obtain their own professional advice as to whether investments are suitable for their individual investment needs.

What does the Information Memorandum disclose about the investment opportunity?

The Information Memorandum discloses important information regarding the investment opportunity including:

• Executive Summary;
• Project Description;
• Developer Profile;
• Project Feasibility;
• Funding Structure;
• IMA Loan Facility;
• Security;
• Presale and or Preleasing Analysis;
• Market Overview; and
• Risk Analysis.

For more information, please refer to our section on Information Memorandum, which can be found in the Information for Investors tab.

What information do I receive in order to complete my end of year tax?

You will receive a statement from IMA in respect of each project. Tax is payable by you, not the syndicate.

Can I withdraw my money whenever I like?

Generally investments are non-liquid and for a fixed term. A syndicate deed, prepared in respect of each project outlines investors’ rights.

How am I updated about projects that I have an investment in?

Each month, IMA receives a progress report about each project, which is drafted by the developer. IMA uses this information to form a one or two page document, which is sent out to each investor on a monthly basis.

For investors, these reports are also available to view via the Investor Login tab on this website, which is also updated on a monthly basis.
